Established in 2004, Parlour has built a reputation for being a unique contemporary furniture store. The collection derived from a local designer Ku, who favours leveraging upon traditional construction but designed with modern perspectives.
A vast amount of geometric and contemporary concepts are born under hand craftsmanship. Much of the furniture pieces are produced both in hardwood and stainless steel providing clienteles a wider choice of materials in complimenting their living or business environment.
Ku’s credential in his field is well-rounded. He began his professional career some thirty years ago and has worked as illustrator, graphic designer, clock designer, art director, tutor, and principal in his own furniture store, Parlour. Much of his designs derived from different types of forms and nature surrounding our living environment. He does not believe that his unusual furniture fall into any stylistic category but own up to having a predilection for bulky, geometric shapes which have a sculptural quality.
